Examinations Guidelines

Instructions

  • It is mandatory for every student to appear in all the examinations for each subject.
  • A minimum of 75% attendance is required to be eligible for the promotion to the next class.
  • Result declared at the end of the year is final.
  • In case of serious illness parents are requested not to send their ward(s) to school. A medical certificate needs to be submitted along with the application.
  • The Examination or test will be conducted on the given date only. No request for taking the examination before or after the given date shall be entertained.
  • No retest will be conducted.
  • If any exam will be shifted from the scheduled dates due to any unavoidable circumstances, then it will be mandatory for all to follow the changed schedule as per the given instructions.

Assessment Format: Classes Nursery To UKG

There is a regular assessment for these classes. The purpose is to monitor the child’s level of development without comparing it with others. Assessment is recorded in the form of grades and conveyed to the parents.

The students will be assessed on the basis of day-to-day performance and regular classroom observations. The assessments would comprise worksheets, recitation, reading, dictation, project works, quizzes, etc,

CLASSES
I&II

  • To reduce the stress and strain of examination, no Annual Examination will be held upto class 2.
  • There will be four Periodic Tests.
  • The Periodic Test will be of 30 marks each.

CLASSES
III TO VIII

  • For classes III to VIII a uniform assessment system will be followed.
  • The whole session is divided into two terms:
Term-1

Periodic Test-1
Half Yearly Examination

Term-1

Periodic Test-2
Annual Examination

CLASSES
IX & X

  • For classes IX & X, examination structure replicates the same assessment module as given by CBSE.
  • There will be three Periodic Tests and one Annual Examination during the session.
  • Annual Examination will cover the whole syllabus.
  • Internal assessment includes average of 2 best Periodic Tests, Multiple Assessments, Portfolio, Note Book Submission and Subject Enrichment Activity.
  • Weight age of different examinations as per CBSE is:

a) Annual Examination=80 Marks
b) Internal Assessment (20 Marks)
i) Periodic Assessment & Multiple Assessments= 10 Marks
ii) Notebook Submission & Portfolio= 05 Marks
iii) Subject Enrichment Activity= 05 Marks
Total 100 Marks

Promotion Criteria

CLASSES
I TO VIII

  • Promotion is granted to the students on the basis of his/her overall performance throughout the year.
  • In order to qualify for promotion, a minimum of 33% is required in each subject.
  • It is compulsory for classes IV to VIII to appear in Annual Examination

CLASSES
IX & X

  • A minimum of 33% is required in each subject to qualify for the promotion to the next class.
  • Improvement examination will be conducted in maximum 2 subjects.
  • Marks of Internal Assessment will be given and calculated as per the guidelines given by the CBSE.
  • For class X, result will be compiled and declared by the board.

CLASSES
XI & XII

  • A minimum of 33% is required in each subject to qualify for promotion to the next class.
  • Students have to pass separately in theory and practical examination wherever applicable.
  • Improvement examination will be conducted in 2 subjects only.
